Amsterdam, November 2023 – Spectral, a pioneer in the integration of energy and information technologies and a highly impactful scale-up in the energy sphere, is excited to announce a major turning point in its expansion. Spectral has successfully secured an investment from ABN AMRO’s Sustainable Impact Fund (SIF). The fund invests in impact-driven companies seeking both social and financial returns. The investment will primarily be used to scale and professionalize operations.
Spectral’s mission is to use clean energy solutions and state-of-the-art IT infrastructure to accelerate the transition towards a 100% renewable energy system. Spectral offers SaaS propositions in two distinct software platforms. STELLAR integrates and optimizes renewable energy assets while BRIGHTER optimizes energy usage in real estate. With this strategic investment from SIF, Spectral is positioned to accelerate its efforts in creating a sustainable and connected future and unlock an era of unprecedented growth and impact. Clairfield advised and supported Spectral in raising the financing.
“Our most important goal for this funding round was to find an investor aligned with Spectral’s mission and vision,” said Philip Gladek, founder and CEO of Spectral. “We’re excited to embark on a long-term collaboration with ABN AMRO’s Sustainable Impact Fund – together we will help accelerate sustainable system transformation within the energy and real estate sectors both in the Netherlands and internationally.”

Nadine Weber, Investment Manager SIF adds: “Increasing renewable energy penetration and tighter regulations are forcing renewable energy asset owners and real estate owners alike to look towards smarter solutions when managing and optimizing their portfolio. Spectral provides a unique range of services for both these sectors, offering a one-stop-shop solution for both data and dynamic asset management. We recognize the strong market potential for Spectral’s fully integrated platforms and high-quality software, and Spectral’s deep conviction to drive sustainable impact fits well with SIF’s goals to accelerate the energy transition.”

As Spectral embarks on this exciting new chapter, the company remains committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in energy and information technology. With the support of SIF, Spectral aims to create a more sustainable, connected, and resilient world for future generations.
As Spectralites, we are united in our mission to rapidly transform the global energy system towards a fundamentally sustainable state.
