At Bomhofsplas in Zwolle, the Netherlands, Greenchoice optimizes a co-located 27 MWp floating PV park and a 11 MW / 22 MWh Tesla BESS while delivering renewable energy directly to Dekker Group’s sand extraction facilities.
Bomhofsplas needs one control layer that facilitates three jobs at once. The sand extraction facility needs as much local renewable energy as possible. Greenchoice needs to optimize PV and BESS across wholesale and balancing markets. The whole site must stay within grid capacity limits, including CBC capacity schedules from Enexis.
Trading setpoints need to be prioritized and executed reliably, to ensure imbalance and non-delivery risk are minimized, to allow the asset owner to deliver on the business case.
At the Bomhofsplas, we act as EMS provider and system integrator via STELLAR, working closely together with Green Energy Storage and Tesla to:
We deliver the STELLAR control and integration layer that ties the site together and allows for commercial value generation.
Bomhofsplas runs as a multi-market co-located BESS site on STELLAR. The PV and battery operate under the same EMS and Power Plant Controller , within Enexis capacity limits and CBC schedules.
